Saturday – Michigan CPL Renewal Class – $39
This is the review class for people who already hold a Michigan CPL and are coming up on renewal. It runs about three hours and covers the legal material in the same plain language I use in the full class. As a USCCA training counselor I have certified around 100 instructors to teach this course, and the law is the part I spend the most time on.

- Violent encounters and the immediate aftermath

- Go to the range on your own within the 6 months before you apply
- Submit your renewal application and the state fee to your county clerk

Common questions
What does Michigan require to renew?
You have to certify under penalty of perjury that you spent at least three hours reviewing your course materials and that you went to the range in the six months before you apply. This class is the three hours of review. The range trip you do on your own.
My CPL has already expired. Can I still take this?
If it has been expired for more than one year you have to take the full eight hour class again rather than the renewal. If it has been less than a year, the renewal class is the right one.
Is there a range portion in this class?
No. The renewal class is classroom review only. You go to the range separately so you can truthfully certify that you did.
Can I do this online instead?
Yes. We run the same renewal class live on Zoom for the same price. Look for the virtual renewal class on the same date.
What if I cannot make it?
